I got hooked on reality competition shows a long time ago. Every show brings with it a sense of renewed anticipation within me. The best part about them is that there are many different kinds of shows to enjoy. The Biggest Loser is one of the shows that always catches my interest. For some reason I keep tuning in and it is hard to pinpoint exactly why, I can name some of the things that draw me to it.
The show seems like it is about people like me. I am not happy with the size of my body either. I would not consider myself to be dangerously obese like some of the people on the show, although some weight loss would benefit me. As I get older I know I have to do something. Watching the show has given me some motivation to be on it. I do not want to be faced with the problems that come with the excess fat on the body. I do not want to put my health at risk because of my lifestyle, but I also did not want to go find a way to learn how to lose weight fast if there was something better that I could do, and the things that I saw on the Biggest Loser looked like a healthier way for me to get into shape, but the problem I faced was actually doing what I was supposed to do.
One thing that interests me is the people who are on the show and what got them there. The contestants are very familiar to me. They are not able to get to a healthy shape. They are not professionals that have been hired to put on a show. This could be the show that needs me on it. I went as far as going online to the shows website. I looked into how to become a contestant. But I never filled it out. Although I was overweight, my problem was not big enough for the Biggest Loser. I had a problem, but I would have to fix it myself.
That was when I decided that I would be my own Biggest Loser. One night after watching a bunch of television I decided to find a way to get my body into the shape it was supposed to be in and I knew that the answer was not in the infomercial that was airing that promised to help a person find a way how to lose weight fast at home in a week, but rather would require me to make the effort to eat right and exercise regularly if I was to really get into shape. It did not take long for me to find a bunch of ways to get myself to a healthy weight.
The first place I turned to was the internet which had an abundance of plans that promised to help me. I also consulted my doctor for his recommendations. I also had to figure out how to get some physical activity. I had never worked out before. Fortunately there were plenty of fitness clubs in my area to guide me. The personal trainer was able to guide me through a program that were based on the goals that he helped me set.
After figuring out what I had to do, there was no stopping me. I do not think I had double digit weight losses like I saw on the Biggest Loser. I was getting healthier though. Slowly but surely, my body shape was improving. My improved diet allowed me to have more energy than before. As time went by the intensity and length of my work outs kept increasing. I was not perfect with my diet and exercise. But I would not give up just because of a misstep. It made me the Biggest Winner.
