Free Guide into Pregnancy Issues

Pregnancy miscarriage is the sudden cessation of pregnancy which occurs somewhere between twenty – twenty four weeks of pregnancy, but most often it happens before the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. This is the process of rejection of the fetus, amniotic sac and placenta, which come out of the woman’s body much earlier than the fetus is ready to be born.

• Reasons of pregnancy miscarriage. In many cases the cause of miscarriage are chromosomal abnormalities of the fetus. This can be some flaw on the genetic level caused by a spermatozoid or an egg that participated in the process of conception. This flaw can also be caused by the harmful lifestyle of the future mother in the first weeks of her pregnancy. This can be a totally normal woman who though smokes and drinks alcohol from time to time, which is normal in a usual condition, but unacceptable during pregnancy. This can be due to the fact that for the first two or three months the woman can be even unaware of being pregnant, and so she continues to lead her habitual lifestyle. Taking a hot bath in this case is very likely to provoke miscarriage. Some conditions like diabetes, hormonal imbalance, immunity disorders, etc, pose a threat to the child’s normal development. Any other health problems, like flu or other infections, can also lead to miscarriage. Not to worry though – if you are having a flu while pregnancy, it doesn’t mean that you will have a miscarriage, it means that you have to take care of yourself.

• Symptoms of miscarriage. The first and the most common symptom of miscarriage is vaginal bleeding. If you don’t know that you possibly can be pregnant and you have vaginal bleeding, you may mistake it for menstruation. But if it is unusual, not on time and/or too long, you necessarily have to visit a doctor. If you know that you are pregnant and you see some blood, it is better to go to the doctor as soon as possible. It can be a normal phenomenon which sometimes occurs during pregnancy, and what if not? Better to find out straightaway.

• Types of miscarriage. Threatened miscarriage – there is slight uterine bleeding and the cervix is closed (the miscarriage can be avoided). Inevitable miscarriage – there is a strong bleeding and the cervix is open (the miscarriage cannot be avoided). Complete miscarriage – the woman has already lost the fetus with placenta and other products of conception. Missed miscarriage – the fetus has died inside the womb and is has not been expelled.

• How to prevent miscarriage. Lots of recommendations can be given, which lower your chances to have a miscarriage, but unfortunately they not always work, as some women are genetically exposed to having miscarriage. All you can do is lead a healthy lifestyle and consult with your doctor, and thus you will minimize your chances of experiencing miscarriage.

Pregnant Women Issues – The Information One Must Learn

Being pregnant is natural and beautiful, and it is what any woman is created for. When being pregnant it is very important to look and feel beautiful, because your future baby needs only positive emotions. Here are some ideas that may be useful for you:

• Try clothes for pregnant women. It is a mistake to use your same old clothes while being pregnant, because it can create you much inconveniency, as clothes just do not fit. A good idea is to visit a shop for mothers-to-be and buy specially designed clothes for pregnant women. Not only will they make you look gorgeous, but also they are comfortable and nice.

• Don’t wear baggy clothes. One more common mistake is to buy oversize clothes, like enormous tee shirts. Women somewhat suppose that they will make them look smaller, but in fact, they will make you look even bigger. Don’t waste the most beautiful time of your life for baggy clothing!

• Take care of your hair. In most cases women have falling hair while pregnancy, and that is why they comb it less and generally pay it much less attention. You can’t apply hair spray or gel or dye your hair while being pregnant, but for the love of god, don’t ignore your hairstyle. It is a great idea to wear pony tale, and if you don’t have time for that, have a nice short haircut which looks great and requires little care.

• Listen to the classical music. It has been proven that a child growing inside the mother’s tummy hears everything that we do, and that it is greatly affected by what it hears. One more thing that has been noticed in the course of experiments is that if a pregnant woman listens to classical music, it stimulates the development of genius inclinations of the child and its good health. Don’t claim that you can’t stand classical music, in fact, there even can not be someone who doesn’t like it, there can be someone who either haven’t listened to it properly or have not found the right one for themselves.

• Smile! I hope that your pregnancy brings only positive emotions to you, and if it doesn’t, it is time to start smiling. Simply look at yourself in the mirror and smile, and you will feel warmer and happier. Even if you experience some “side effects” of pregnancy – do not be irritated, do not cry, do not be depressed, as it all will affect your future baby. Every time you wish you weren’t pregnant any more, just imagine yourself holding your newborn baby, imagine its tiny fingers with even tinier fingernails, imagine its beautiful eyes and cheeks, and the smile will appear on your face as if by magic.

It Is Vital That You Take Folic Acid Both Before And During Your Pregnancy

The UK Government is encouraging all women of child bearing age to increase their daily intake of folic acid. The reason for this advice is a sharp increase in the number of children born in Scotland this year with spina bifida.

Spina bifida occurs when a baby’s spine does not develop correctly in the womb. The spine begins to form as early as 28 days after conception. At this stage the spinal chord is like an open tube (known as a neural tube) which should in time close and be covered by bone. When this does not happen spina bifida develops which can result in learning difficulties and even an open spinal chord. Research shows that daily intake of folic acid in the period leading up to and during pregnancy can reduce the chances of a baby developing spina bifida by 75%.

Baby’s spine develops very soon after conception so it is important to take sufficient folic acid before you become pregnant, taking a supplement once you are aware you are pregnant is probably too late. Continue taking folic acid until the 12th week of pregnancy.

A daily intake of 400 milligrams is normally sufficient unless you already have a spina bifida baby, are diabetic, take anti-epileptic drugs, or you have coelic disease. In that case you you will need a higher dose and your doctor will advise you accordingly.

The problem with taking any supplement in tablet form is that many experts say that as much as 90% of the benefit is washed straight through your body. Better to take your folic acid naturally. The natural occurring form of folic acid is called folate. Some countries add folate to flour and bread; if you live in a country that does not do this you can get folic acid naturally in green leafy vegetables such as spinach, spring greens, broccoli; and brown rice. Be careful not to overcook the vegetables – steaming is preferred as there is less chance of destroying the folic acid. Aloe vera is an excellent source of folic acid if taken as a gel drink. Liver also contains high levels of folic acid but liver should not be eaten by pregnant women or those planning pregnancy as it also contains high levels of vitamin A which could harm your baby.

One of the B vitamins, folic acid doesn not have any known side effects.
