Information On How To Stay Fit And Healthy

Steps To Be Healthy by BH Hospital Gowns,

For much time, people have been struggling hard to find the secret to ultimate healthiness. Every single person wants to be healthy. They want to live life to the fullest without worry, no stress and moreover in the pink of health. But the question remains , how to be healthy? What makes a person healthy? their diet? their habits? The answer is simple. Diet /habits etc yes but moreover the precautions one has to take for being healthy. After all precaution is better than cure, no one wants to end up in an Hospital Patient Gowns or Exam Gowns.

Is it going to be tough? Well not really, until and unless you really can’t do it. Where there’s a WILL, there’s a WAY!

Following precautions will definitely add points on the resume of your health:

1) FIRST AND FOREMOST, DO NOT SMOKE! What’s wrong with smoking? Most people smoke, “It makes me feel better and more stress free “. Well sure it does, but at the cost of your life! Do you know that smoking leads to various forms of cancer? It is one of the biggest causes of cancer, It has toxic substances that make you addicted while killing your lungs and related respiratory organs at the same time. You get ill often, you have respiratory and related health problems, life becomes impossible, in other words, it leads to a slow and a painful death.

2) Follow a daily food fad. Eat on time. Avoid delaying or messing up your daily routine eating habits. No matter what you miss, do not miss lunch and dinner!

3) Eat well, but that doesn’t mean you should load yourself with tons of health food. Eat in a well managed quantitative amount. Don’t eat too little or too much. In short, don’t go to extremes, try to be just Perfect!

4)”An apple a day, keeps the doctor away”, a famous quote perhaps, doesn’t mean you have to chase the doctor with an apple! It means eat healthy food which includes fruits and veggies and health drinks. Fruits are the richest source of vitamins and related glycogen proteins and most have glucose contents which serve as polysaccharide substitutes to make you healthy. In plain English, it’s good to finish your vegetables/fruits served on plate. So next time mommy asks you to eat your vegetables, NO EXCUSES!

5) Don’t eat fatty food or too salty food. Avoid lots of meaty products daily. Don’t have red meat on your plates daily, try variety! Enjoy vegetables/chicken or different kinds of meat, but not the same fatty food. If you’re a fan of potatoes, then it’s the right time to cut short on those potatoes you intake daily. Too much salty food can give rise to increase in blood pressure and too less of it can result in goiter. In short, have everything planned, don’t put in excess of it nor too less.

6) TIME TO CUT SHORT ON JUNK FOOD! Try and avoid eating junk foods daily. Who knows what exactly they are made up of? “I eat junk food from a well known restaurant” well duh!, its “JUNK” food, no matter how you put it, it can’t beat the food that’s made at home. Who knows how many chemicals and other extracts they have added to make it taste “good”. So try eating healthy snacks and next time you order something, remember what you just read, maybe a salad won’t hurt your taste buds much.

7) “Keep Walking” , well what I mean to say is, try and have routine walks, don’t sit or lay around like a couch potato, you’ll put on lots of belly fat and eventually your tummy will swell up like a pregnant lady’s tummy! So, try not to look pregnant when you’re not, and especially when you’re a male. Go jogging or walking daily, preferably around morning time when the sun is about to rise and there’s lots of vitamin D in the air!

8) Limit exposure to the sun. Between 11 am and 3 pm, it’s better to be in the shade. When in the sun, wear sensible clothing and use appropriate sun factor lotion. Never burn.

9) Sleep well. Don’t work all day or waste your time doing something else. Retire to bed on time, else you’ll be susceptible to all kinds of mental and respiratory problems which will affect you real bad. Sleep for at least 6 to 8 hours per day, it not only rejuvenates your body but also makes you feel refreshed and good. Of course sleeping adds to your beauty, since you don’t get dark circles and other facial eruptions when you sleep well. Now you reckon why “sleeping beauty” was addressed by that name?

10) BE HAPPY! Keep smiling, laugh a lot. Laughing is actually a good exercise, it relaxes your facial muscles and helps in reducing stress and add to your face values and personality too. Who wants to be around a sad person all the time? Everybody LOVES a jolly person who has a dashing personality and who keeps smiling in good or bad times. A true hero is the one who has the courage to smile even in bad times. So be a hero and save your health at the same time and keep smiling. Trust me, a smile is contagious!

Diet Pills

Weightloss program

You cast your eye on the table. Mmm… one after another, great heaping dishes of food. Comfort food. Holiday food. You dig in, savoring every bite. Now the meal is over and you are going through that terrible cycle of holiday remorse. Sure, it’s great to be able to indulge in some festive food favorites, but there is always that guilt afterward.

Wahida Karmally, Dr.P.H., R.D., C.D.E., a registered dietitian on the Nutrition Advisory Committee at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and director of nutrition at the Irving Institute for Clinical Research at Columbia University Medical Center, says you can avoid this psychological turmoil by adopting a more sensible approach to holiday eating and exercise. “You will not gain weight from one meal by itself. Consistency is the key; if you eat healthful meals during the months before the holidays, a splurge or two can be fit in.”

“Don’t deny yourself the occasional treat. What people need to realize is that everybody can eat something of everything — it’s just a question of how much,” she adds.

The following is the holiday feast survival guide — a road map of sorts to keep you and your diet from straying too far this year.

* Plan ahead. Remember the “calorie bank” concept. Save calories the week before to give yourself more calories to eat during the holidays.

* Never go to a party hungry. Snack on fruit, non-fat yogurt or vegetables before you leave for the party. You will be less tempted to overindulge while you’re there.

* Take control of your environment whenever possible. Never engage in conversation while sitting next to a platter of your favorite cookies.

* Bring a low-fat dish to the party. Share with other guests.

* Fill your plate with vegetables and lean protein foods — then add small “tastes” of high-fat dishes.

* Eat slowly and savor every bite. It takes 20 minutes for the stomach to signal to your brain that you are full.

* Decide in advance how you will handle gifts of cookies and candy. Don’t leave them out in the open so that you will be tempted to binge. Keep one or two and give the rest away.

* Limit alcohol consumption. Not only does alcohol contain many calories, but it can also stimulate your appetite and reduce your willpower. Try a wine spritzer, or, better yet, avoid alcohol completely and drink seltzer or mineral water with a twist of lime, or a non-alcoholic tomato juice cocktail.

* Don’t allow holiday activity to slow down your exercise program. Exercise can help burn off extra calories and make you feel good about yourself.

* Moderation is the key to Losing Weight maintenance. A forkful of cheesecake will do less damage than a whole piece. Remember, an occasional indulgence will not destroy your Weightloss program attempts.
