Infant Intellect Development Stages.
A fetus begins maturing its gray matter from the development of special stem cells. All encompassing stem cells are powerful, because they hold the ability to develop into any cell type that we need in the body, such as blood cells, heart cells or brain cells. Lots of gray matter cells that are maturing in the fetal stage will stay with us throughout our entire life, unlike any different cell type in the body.
A fetus of a month is maturing 500,000 gray matter cells each minute or so! These maturing gray matter cells find their proper location in the gray matter by taking use of supplementary cells known as glia. From the fourth month later the cells will work on establishing links to adjacent cells. They work on this at a speed of two million links every second. This wiring of the cells adheres to a blueprint, taken from both the father and the mother, and their ancestors.
At approximately the third trimester of pregnancy the pruning starts. In this stage the gray matter will start cutting off certain links, while fortifying others. As the infant is birthed the 5 senses will start maturing, of which sight will be the last.
